Activist Solutions projects are motivated to engage as many participants as possible by offering them rewarding, creative, and possibly important work. Many political activists have become disillusioned and lethargic because of repeatedly disappointing experiences that led to the conclusion that the available opportunities for political participation ad have been more or less a waste of their time and talents. Some just get bored with the work itself. But many more are still actively looking for ways to get meaningfully involved. Many of these people might potentially become influential members of a range of political movements, each pursuing their own political agenda in their own unique way.
People who are energetic, enthusiastic, and thoughtfully open-minded will flourish in both Activist Solutions projects, as will individuals who are not afraid to innovate. It will help if they’re also reasonably articulate and good listeners, or are willing to learn these skills.
The primary requirement is that they are highly motivated to create solutions to problems in their area of interest, and that they’re eager to get some version of their ideas heard and if possible acted on. Such people are rare but necessary. Activist Solutions hopes to find some of them and welcome their contributions to the Solution Exchange and later in the DNA groups, where they can use their skills and share their ideas with many like-minded individuals and organizations.
