Both the Solution Exchange and the Dialogue Network for Action will be open to any individual or group willing to write a proposed solution to a public problem, or respond to one, regardless of their political persuasion.

Activist Solutions is a program of the Foundation for Feedback Learning, a non-partisan educational 501(C) 3 organization, and will not ally itself with or in any way endorse the positions or activities of participants of any political party. Proposed solutions that contain endorsements of political candidates or promote election-related activities will be removed from the site. Lobbying for acceptance or enactment of any specific solution will be encouraged, as long as it doesn’t violate any law.

The Solution Exchange will be launched first and initial recruitment efforts will center around attracting people of all persuasions to participate in it. Participants for the Dialogue Network for Action will be largely recruited from the Solution Exchange population, once it gets large enough. Joining a DNA group will require a willingness to work together on a regular basis with small group of like-minded individuals. Their purpose will be to refine and finalize the proposed solutions they have already posted on the Exchange, and perhaps to help plan and implement strategies to enact their ideas.
