Some solutions to each problem will be popularly selected for action. These choices will be made by readers and responders who evaluate proposed solutions and indicate their willingness to contribute time to support action to publicize and try to implement specific solutions. When the ratings are in and counted, different solutions to the same problem that have been the most enthusiastically endorsed will be circulated on petitions that attempt to gather still more support and narrow the selection still further. These petitions will be prepared by coalitions of the supporters of the solutions involved, and as widely distributed as possible to issue-oriented advocacy groups as well as to the general public.
Diverse solutions to the same problem will appear on the same petition. Whenever possible, the authors of similar solutions will merge them before the petitions go out for signatures. The goal of the selection process is to offer the public as many different solutions to problems as possible.
Each of the individuals or activist organizations involved in the initial development of a proposed solution that is later selected for action will share credit for its success. Joint-proposers will each have the opportunity (but not the obligation) to become its official spokespersons. They will interact with the media and make whatever public appearances can be arranged.
