Here is the Zogby poll that confirms your assertion that almost half of Americans believe that there was a cover-up.
Please suggest other references, or comment on whether these are good ones.
America is in denial
America is in denial. After all, Michael Moore http://www.michaelmoore.com/ made a hollwood documentary-Farenheit 911, exposing some corruption behind President Bush and his administration. Americans choose to stay in the dark because if the light is turned on, there is no way to run, the problem now has to be faced. Unfortunately, conspiracies and cover-ups have been part of American history.
What should be done about it?
I'd love to see solutions to this unfortunate problem. Do you have any, or could you find any in the literature and post them?
The solution is in the hands of our future leaders
In college, I took a class called terroism and politics and I probably have more knowledge about this topic than the average person. It's pretty complicated. However, a lot of past conspiracies have been swept underneath the rug. The only thing we can really do for the future is put better quality people in office and keep a closer eye on them.
